Manuel Almunia
Wenger - Almunia future is undecided
By Joe Brewin
Arsène Wenger admits he has not yet decided on the future of goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.
The Spanish shot-stopper enjoyed a month’s loan spell at Championship outfit West Ham in October, featuring four times for the Hammers.
The return to fitness of Robert Green at Upton Park saw the 34-year-old return to Emirates Stadium last week - but Wenger says his future is unresolved.
“He is back from a loan spell at West Ham where he did very well, so he is available again for us,” said the Arsenal manager.
“I wanted to give him a chance to play and show how good he is because he is at the end of his contract this season.
“I believe he has done very well but the disadvantage for us is that we lose the players for the Champions League games when they go out on loan.
“At the moment we have plenty of keepers so that depends a little bit on who will stay and who will go.”
