Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Gilles Sunu
Doncaster 2-1 Derby
Saturday, March 13
A stunning strike from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas saw Doncaster Rovers see off Gilles Sunu's Derby County on Saturday afternoon. Rovers' 2-1 victory sees them move to within four points of the top six but Derby are the same distance away from the relegation zone. Billy Sharp put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot after 15 minutes. Sunu was introduced at half-time but in the 69th minute Emmanuel-Thomas smashed a left-footed effort into the back of the net from 18 yards. The Rams did manage to pull one back through Rob Hulse but Doncaster held onto their lead.
Jack Wilshere
Bolton 4-0 Wigan
Saturday, March 13
Jack Wilshere started for Bolton on Saturday as the Trotters moved eight points clear of the Premier League relegation zone with a convincing 4-0 triumph over Wigan. Johan Elmander bagged the first 10 minutes in and Kevin Davies doubled the lead from the penalty spot shortly after half-time. Fabrice Muamba then added a third before Matthew Taylor completed the rout in the 69th minute.
Kyle Bartley and Jay Simpson
Sheffield United 1-1 QPR
Saturday, March 13
Illness denied Kyle Bartley the chance to go head-to-head with Jay Simpson in Sheffield United's 1-1 home draw with QPR on Saturday. Simpson played 90 minutes for the Rs at Bramall Lane. Richard Cresswell put the Blades ahead just before half-time but Adel Taarabt equalised four minutes after the break. United are now three points short of a play-off place while QPR are now six points clear of the drop zone.
Henri Lansbury and Kerrea Gilbert
Watford 0-1 Peterborough
Saturday, March 13
Injury kept Kerrea Gilbert out of Peterborough's trip to Watford on Saturday but Henri Lansbury played 90 minutes for the Hornets as Posh registered their first away win of the season. Jim Gannon's side move to within eight points of safety after Liam Dickinson's 51st-minute lob beat Scott Loach from 35 yards. Watford are now just one point above the relegation zone though they do hold games in hand on the five teams below them.
Wojciech Szczesny and Mark Randall
Brentford 3-3 MK Dons
Saturday, March 13
Wojciech Szczesny played the entire match for Brentford and Mark Randall featured in the opening 57 minutes for MK Dons as the two sides played out a 3-3 draw at Griffin Park on Saturday. MK held the lead three times but on each occasion the Bees fought back to level the game. Aaron Wilbraham netted first in the 11th minute before Sam Wood struck to make it 1-1. A Jermaine Easter spot kick restored the Dons' advantage early in the second-half but Ben Strevens equalised with 20 minutes remaining. Wilbraham looked to have won it for MK Dons in the third minute of stoppage time but Carl Cort was on hand to tap in a close-range equaliser for Andy Scott's side.
Havard Nordtveit
Hertha Berlin 1-2 Nurnberg
Saturday, March 13
Havard Nordtveit was a second-half substitute as Nurnberg secured a vital last-gasp victory over relegation rivals Hertha Berlin. Nurnberg went behind in the 36th minute after Theofanis Gekas struck for Hertha but Albert Bunjaku equalised just after the hour. Nordtveit was then introduced and fellow substitute Angelos Charisteas grabbed a 90th-minute winner to keep Nurnberg out of the relegation zone.
