Gunners' 41st Greatest Goal - Thierry Henry

HENRY v SPARTA PRAGUE (a) 10-18-2005
In October 2005, Arsenal headed to Prague for a Champions League group match. Struggling with a groin injury, it was surprising that Theirry Henry was even named among the substitutes.

But after Jose Antonio Reyes was hurt after only 15 minutes, Arsène Wenger gave him the nod.

Just six minutes after entering the game, Henry expertly controlled Kolo Toure’s long pass with his right outstep, facing away from goal. With space around the ball, the striker shimmied into a shooting position and released a magnificent curling half-volley into the far corner with the outside of his right boot

Henry's injury had left him sitting on 185 goals -- just one behind all-time leading scorer Ian Wright -- for weeks. What could have been better that scoring the record-tying goal in his first game back?

Breaking the record in the second half.
