Gunners' 50th Greatest Goal - Emmanuel Adebayor

Adebayor v Newcastle (a) 12-05-2007
In December 2007, Arsenal headed to St. James Park for a tough test against Newcastle.

After just three minutes Adebayor, who was unplayable at times during the 2007/08 campaign, found space between two defenders just inside the box.

Emmanuel Eboue floated a perfect delivery towards the Togo striker who rose to meet the ball with his chest.

As the ball dropped, he volleyed past Shay Given and into the roof of the net from 12 yards. It was a perfectly-executed strike from a striker at the top of his game.

The omens looked good for Arsenal after that early goal, but Newcastle hit back to earn a point.
