All English. All Arsenal. All under Wenger.
The England team has boasted some amazing Arsenal talent in the past, but is this the best group that Arsenal has delivered for the country? A subjective question that I'm not equipped to answer.
Gibbs. Jenkinson. Walcott. Oxlade-Chamberlain. Wilshere. These players have the potential to deliver excitement and quality not just for Arsenal Football Club, but also help England for years to come.
Gibbs and Jenks have shown that maturity and experience are not the only ingredients to delivering on the stages for Club and country. They also bring an amazing set of skills, passion and composure to the game. They both want it. And have they ever shown it. Yes, they're young, maybe lacking in some areas, but there's no arguing the fight they bring to the pitch. Loving seeing these two grow.
And let's not forget about two of the (potentially) most explosive talents for Arsenal and England. Theo and the Ox. Both of them have incredible ceilings, amazing speed and such raw skills. Not even close to their potential, but delivering at such a high level already that we expect greatness every week. It's not that we're disappointed in their play, it's that we see the potential, know they can be better. They know they can as well. All in time. Don't forget how young BOTH f these players are.
And finally, Jack. Just Jack. No need for a last name. I honestly have to ask, does he have a ceiling? I'm giddy just writing this, mind flowing in every direction. Seriously hard for me to put into words how I feel about him, his potential. We've seen flashes of skill that has been galvanized into our minds. The potential is there. The fight is there. The want is there. I just want Jack here. Now. Can't wait.
Yes, I've probably stated the obvious, but my point is that we have some of the greatest talent in the EPL and they're English. Under Wenger. Remember when Wenger was slagged off for not developing English talent? I do. What are they saying now?
As always, trust in Wenger. He knows best.
