Victory Through Harmony is a citizenship based education project which has been delivered in north London schools since 2009.
The project is delivered in both primary and secondary schools and often targets children who require support with their Citizenship work.
Arsenal in the Community have produced a range of resources which fall in line with the Citizenship National Curriculum. The project involves a three hour lesson plan which can be delivered on one single morning or split into three different lessons which are delivered on separate days. The project concludes with a football tournament between all of the participating schools in which the values of the project are highlighted.
The three hour lesson plan is broken down into three different modules:
1) Respect and fair play
2) Leadership, role models and responsibility
3) Topical debates
The project supports several parts of the national curriculum with the key concepts, processes and opportunities.
