Industrious frontman Gilles proved the value of an injury-free campaign in 2008/09.
Having suffered a string of niggles during his first season at the Club, the Frenchman shone as a regular fixture in Arsenal’s double-winning Under-18 side term. In the FA Youth Cup Fourth Round, Gilles came off the bench to notch a classy hat-trick before more crucial strikes in the Semi-Final and Final.
His willingness to work the channels and a devastating eye for goal make the Frenchman one of the brightest striking prospects in Arsenal’s youth set-up. With 16 second-string outings to his name so far, Gilles will be hoping to continue his development under Neil Banfield this season.
