41. Emmanuel Frimpong

Go

Emmanuel signed professional terms with the Club in February after rock-solid performances in the first few months of his scholarship.

Born in Ghana, the talismanic midfielder moved to England in 2000 and joined Arsenal aged 11. Consummate performances for the Under-18s earned him his Reserve Team debut in September 2008, eventually finishing the campaign with nine second-string appearances.

Built like a welterweight boxer, Emmanuel’s strength on the ball and in the tackle makes him a player with genuine first-team potential. In addition to a string of commanding performances in the FA Youth Cup, the teenager made the bench for Arsenal’s three Carling Cup ties before Christmas and was included in Arsène Wenger’s squad for the Gunners’ Premier League trip to Portsmouth in May.
