Ball-playing centre-back Elton joined Arsenal as a scholar in the summer of 2010 and signed professional terms with the Club last season.
The Switzerland youth international, who was previously with FC Sion, was a regular for Steve Bould’s Under-18s during 2010/11, making 25 appearances.
A strong defender, Elton also made his debut for the Reserves last term and travelled to the Dallas Cup.
He is qualified to play internationally for Portugal through family heritage.
