Another Hale End-based member of staff, Steve is in charge of coaching operations for the Under-14 to Under-16 age groups – a vital period in any young footballer’s development.
He first joined Arsenal 18 years ago, initially as a scout for the youth department. He then spent time as kit manager, before becoming part of the Gunners’ impressive team of Academy coaches.
Like so many of his colleagues, Steve was an accomplished player – turning out for several clubs on the semi-professional circuit.
His background in Islington Schools football ensures that he is steeped in all things Arsenal and north London.
Many of the current Reserve squad, and a few first-teamers, have passed under his guidance in the past.
