Seven different nations have selected Arsenal players in their World Cup squads and ahead of each match we'll bring you the vital statistics on their latest games.

France have more Gunners representing them than any other country and later this evening they take on Uruguay in their opening match of Group A.

France have reached the Final in two of the last three World Cups, but finished bottom of their group as defending champions in 2002.

Uruguay were the last team to clinch a place in South Africa after a Play-Off victory over Costa Rica. Les Bleus also reached the finals via a Play-Off. They beat Republic of Ireland in a controversial tie last November.
