‘This team is just full of world-class talent’

Frida Maanum became our fourth signing of the summer transfer window on Tuesday, as she officially completed her move from Linkopings FC.



There were a number of key factors that encouraged Frida to join the club - but above all else, it was the opportunity to test and train herself against the very best.



“This team is just full of world-class talent and I feel like there’s so much for me to learn here,” Frida told Arsenal.com. “Jordan Nobbs is a fantastic player. She’s so technical and has so much energy, so I can’t wait to play with her.



"Vivianne Miedema too, of course. I’m really excited to combine with her. She can do absolutely everything. She’s a goalscorer but an incredible playmaker too, so I can’t wait to meet her and hopefully combine for some goals together.”



So where will Frida fit into our midfield? And what qualities will she provide in the final third?



“Well, I like to play as a No 8 or a No 10,” Frida added. “I’d consider myself a technical player and I’m someone who likes to dribble with the ball, combine with my teammates and unlock defences. I’m a creative player and I think I’ve got good technical skills.



“Since arriving here, I’ve heard all about Arsenal’s history of winning trophies and I know that they’re the most successful club in England, which is really impressive and something I want to add to. I’ve watched a fair few Arsenal games over the past two years and I’ve been really impressed, but I need to learn some more about the history now!”
