Arsenal are delighted to announce that Nico Yennaris has extended his contract with the Club.

The versatile 18-year-old, who is comfortable playing across the defence or in midfield, made his first-team debut at right back in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in the Carling Cup Fourth Round last month, playing the full 90 minutes.

The England youth international rose through the Club’s Hale End academy to sign professional terms in July 2010, having joined the Club aged just seven.

He captained Steve Bould’s Under-18s to the Premier Academy League title in 2010, and is now a regular for the Reserves, whom he has represented on 18 occasions.

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club looks forward to Nico’s continued contribution in the coming years.
