Every season a number of Arsenal players go out on loan to gain valuable first-team experience. The 2011/12 campaign is no different and five young Gunners are currently away from the Club.

James Shea
Bournemouth 5-0 Dag & Red
Wednesday, August 10
James Shea made his first start for Dagenham and Redbridge on Tuesday as his new loan side went down 5-0 at Bournemouth in the Carling Cup. The young goalkeeper, who is on a season-long loan at the League Two side, started well and made good early saves to deny Marc Pugh and Adam Barrett. But League One Bournemouth proved too strong for Dagenham and found the net five times to progress into the next round.
