James Shea
Macclesfield 0-1 Dag & Red
Saturday, August 6
James Shea made his Dagenham and Redbridge debut as a late substitute in a 1-0 win over Macclesfield on Saturday. The young goalkeeper started on the bench but was introduced after 80 minutes when Chris Lewington was sent off for deliberate handball. Dagenham were already ahead through Medy Elito’s 60th-minute strike and saw out the final ten minutes to start their League Two season with victory.
