Denilson started as Sao Paulo won the Copa Sudamericana in bizarre circumstances. The midfielder was booked as his team went 2-0 up at half time. Tigre refused to play the second half after a half-time altercation so the Brazilian side were awarded the trophy.

Nicklas Bendtner started as Juventus beat Cagliari in the Coppa Italia. The striker was substituted after 44 minutes.

Tuesday, December 11
Philip Roberts was a late substitute as Inverness advanced to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup. The striker came on after 88 minutes.
