Benik Afobe came off the bench against both Birmingham and Leeds United over the festive period. Having been brought on in the 90th minute against the Blues, the striker was given 22 minutes of action in the defeat at Elland Road.

Philip Roberts came on as a second-half substitute as Inverness ended 2012 with a goalless draw at St Johnstone. The striker came on after 74 minutes.

Chuks Aneke was an unused substitute against Oldham and Carlisle as Crewe took six points over the festive period.
