Kyle Bartley has today joined Championship side Sheffield United on loan for entire 2010/2011 season.
Nineteen year-old Bartley returns to the Yorkshire club where he spent three months on loan last season, during which time he turned in some fine performances in the heart of defence for Kevin Blackwell's team.
The Club is also delighted to announce that Bartley has signed a new long-term contract extension with Arsenal. Having joined the Club from Bolton Wanderers in 2007, the central defender signed professional terms in summer 2008, and has now committed his long-term future to Arsenal.
Bartley, who was named Captain for the Reserves last season, was an unused substitute in all three Carling Cup matches last season and made his first-team debut last December, being named in the starting line-up in the UEFA Champions League away match against Olympiacos.
Everyone at Arsenal looks forward to Kyle's continued contribution to the Club in the years to come, and wish him the best of luck for this season with Sheffield United.
