Arsenal Football Club is pleased to announce that Isaac Hayden has signed professional terms with the Club.

A strong, tough-tackling player who can operate in defence or midfield, 17-year-old Isaac has developed very well since joining the Club from Southend United in 2008.

Predominantly playing in a central defensive role, Isaac has 15 appearances to date this season for Steve Bould’s Under-18s side, playing an integral part in taking the side to the top of the Premier Academy League table.

The Essex-born player is progressing well through the England youth ranks, and currently represents his country at Under-17s level for whom he has played six games, scoring one goal - against Bosnia & Herzegovina in last winter’s European Championships qualifying group.

This result helped secure his side’s qualification to the next stage, the Elite Qualifying Round, taking place later this month in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Everyone at Arsenal look forward to Isaac’s continued development and contribution in the coming years.
