Jack Wilshere made his full England debut and helped the Three Lions to a 2-1 victory over Denmark on Wednesday. The 19-year-old caught the eye playing just in front of the back four, the position he has made his own for Arsenal, before being withdrawn at half time. Theo Walcott played 67 minutes and was instrumental in getting England back on level terms after they had gone a goal down to Daniel Agger’s header. The winger did brilliantly to beat his man on the right before putting the ball on a plate for Darren Bent to tap in from a yard. Ashley Young scored a second-half winner for Fabio Capello’s side.

Croatia 4-2 Czech Republic
Wednesday, February 9
Tomas Rosicky captained Czech Republic and was on the scoresheet but couldn’t stop them going down 4-2 in Croatia on Wednesday. The Arsenal midfielder made it 2-2 in first-half injury time when, first time from just inside the area, he fired home from Milan Petrzela’s cutback. Rosicky was replaced after 63 minutes with Michal Bílek’s side 3-2 down. Former Gunner Eduardo was on the scoresheet for Croatia.
Laurent Koscielny, Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby
France 1-0 Brazil

Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby both featured for France in a 1-0 win over Brazil on Wednesday. Sagna completed the full 90 minutes and Diaby was introduced as a 60th-minute substitute in Paris. Karim Benzema scored the only goal of the game nine minutes into the second half to give Laurent Blanc’s side victory.

Poland 1-0 Norway
Wednesday, February 9
Wojciech Szczesny played the full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet for Poland as they beat Norway 1-0 on Wednesday. Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal of the game after 18 minutes to give Franciszek Smuda’s side victory in Faro, Portugal.

Iran 1-0 Russia
Wednesday, February 9
Andrey Arshavin played the full 90 minutes for Russia as they went down 1-0 to Iran on Wednesday. Reza Mohamad Khalatbari scored the winner deep into second-half stoppage time to give Iran a slender victory in Abu Dhabi.

Marouane Chamakh played the full 90 minutes for Morocco as they beat Niger 3-0 on Wednesday.

Emmanuel Eboue played the full 90 minutes for Ivory Coast as they beat Mali 1-0 on Tuesday. Didier Ya Konan scored the only goal of the game after just three minutes.

Italy Under-21s 1-0 England Under-21s
Tuesday, February 8
Henri Lansbury played 60 minutes for England Under-21s as they went down 1-0 to Italy on Tuesday. The Arsenal midfielder, currently on loan at Norwich City, was replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the hour-mark. Federico Macheda scored a late penalty to give Italy victory in Empoli.
