Hoyte suffers injury on reserves duty
By Chris Harris
Justin Hoyte picked up a minor hamstring injury during Arsenal's 5-1 victory against Derby in the Reserve League South on Monday night.
The Arsenal right-back pulled up five minutes before half-time and was replaced by 16-year-old Jack Wilshere. Reserve team manager Neil Banfield revealed afterwards that Hoyte's withdrawal was a precaution rather than a cause for concern.
"Justin felt his hamstring tighten up so we decided to take him off," Banfield told Arsenal.com.
"The doctors have examined him and he feels it is more tightness than any real muscle strain. He will go home tonight and be reassessed on Tuesday morning."
