Gavin Hoyte... in action for Lincoln City

Hoyte rejoins Lincoln City on loan

Gavin Hoyte has today rejoined League Two side Lincoln City until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old defender joined the Imps on an initial one-month loan in October 2010, before extending his stay for a further two months.

The England Youth International remained an ever-present in Steve Tilson’s side, making nine consecutive appearances, before having his second spell with the Imps cut short by a hamstring injury, picked up in the club’s FA Cup Second Round replay defeat at the hands of Hereford United. Now back to full fitness, Hoyte will return to Lincoln City as they battle to climb away from the League Two relegation zone.

Hoyte, who joined Arsenal aged just nine, can play right-back or centre-back. He was a regular in Neil Banfield’s Reserves before going out on loan, having captained an Arsenal XI side in pre-season.

His first team debut came in the Carling Cup in 2008 against Sheffield United, earning him subsequent starts in the competition against Wigan Athletic and Burnley. His Premier League debut came in the same campaign against Manchester City.

In the latter part of the 2008/09 season Hoyte enjoyed a loan spell with Watford and spent last term on loan with Brighton & Hove Albion, making 21 appearances for the League One side.

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Gavin continued success in his time at Sincil Bank.
