Danny Karbassiyoon has signed a two-year contract with Burnley.
The American youth international was released by Arsenal this summer and has been snapped up by the Clarets, who finished mid-table in the Championship last season.
Karbassiyoon already has experience of that division after making six appearances for Ipswich Town during a loan spell at Portman Road last term.
The 20-year-old joined Arsenal from Roanoke Star as a forward in August 2003 but developed into a left-back for the Reserves.
Karbassiyoon scored just eight minutes after coming on as a substitute to make his first-team debut in the Carling Cup victory at Manchester City last October.
He made two further appearances in the competition, starting against Everton and coming off the bench at Manchester United.
