On reaching the Final...
"I thought it was a smashing game to watch and there were chances at either end. I thought in the first half we were very good but in the second half, playing against the wind, we struggled a little bit. They had a few chances and I thought James Shea was outstanding at times. I thought we just pinched the game."

On if his side deserved to win in normal time...
"Whether we did or we didn't I thought we were on the front foot for bigger margins of the game so I was delighted with them."

On scoring all five penalty kicks...
"Well you are just pleased to win! They were dying on their feet in the end, it is a long season and to finish the game on penalties isn't the greatest way but it is nice to win."

On playing the final at Emirates Stadium next Tuesday...
"That is a nice reward for the players who haven't played there yet. Some boys go through their careers and never actually play at their home stadium so it is a great end of the season for the kids."

On making up for disappointment in the FA Youth Cup this season...
"Well yes, it does make up for that but like we always say it's not really about the results. If we win this does that really matter in the end? What matters is getting good players through. Looking out there we do have good players so that is the most important thing."

On a good season for Arsenal...
"It has been a very good season. It has been tough at times for them. As an overall team I guess it isn't quite as strong as last year's but there are certainly four, five, six players there that you would consider might have the potential to be top-class players."
