On scooping the Premier Academy League trophy…
“It’s great for the kids. It’s their reward for their efforts. We’ve surpassed the rewards I had aimed for this year so this just adds to it all. It’s a great end to their season but they need to be professional and turn their minds to the next game like all good teams do.”

On his side’s title-winning performance…
“We were much better than we were at City, especially in the second half. We said to them at half time that we needed to be better on the ball and they took that on board. I thought they were fabulous in the second half.”

On the typical North London Derby…
“It was a bit fiery. I half thought about taking Emmanuel Frimpong off at half time just to save him a bit. We’ll have to see if Luke’s ok now. Emmanuel was marching on the edge a bit, he had us a bit worried, but he had a great game.”

On Luke Ayling’s red card…
“I’d like to see it again. The player was going away from goal and Luke might have just stayed on his feet a little bit – it’s a difficult one. I’ve been there myself and you don’t think about those things when you’re on the pitch. He’ll learn from it – I missed the European Cup Winners’ Cup Final through suspension so I know how he feels, it’s sickening.”

On Henri Lansbury’s return to the Club…
“I thought he was fabulous in the second half. Before the break he was right wing, left wing, off the front – all over. He was a little bit undisciplined and we tried to rein that in a bit and in the second half and he started to look like the player we know he is.”

On the perfect preparation for the FA Youth Cup…

“I think it can be. We have continued the winning streak and that’s probably the most important thing in the end. They are getting winning habits, that’s great and hopefully we’ll continue it next week against Liverpool.”
