Nicklas Bendtner, Fabrice Muamba (Birmingham City), Arturo Lupoli (Derby County)
Birmingham City 1-0 Derby County, March 9
Nicklas Bendtner, Fabrice Muamba and Arturo Lupoli all featured as Birmingham boosted their own promotion hopes while putting a dent in that of their opponents. Before the game Derby led their hosts by two points at the top of the Championship. However Rowan Vine's first goal for the Blues on the stroke of half time saw Steve Bruce's side leapfrog the Rams into top spot. That was despite Birmingham having to play with 10 men for the final 18 minutes after Gary McSheffrey was dismissed for a foul on Dean Leacock. Muamba played a full 90 minutes for Birmingham while striker Bendtner also managed 79 minutes for the Blues. Lupoli didn't start for Derby but emerged from the bench with 20 minutes to go.

Kerrea Gilbert
Cardiff City 1-0 Norwich City, March 10
Kerrea Gilbert did not feature as Cardiff climbed back into the top six with a narrow victory over Norwich. The game was sewn up as early as the third minute when midfielder Paul Parry turned in Michael Chopra's cross. Victory serves as a huge boost to Cardiff's play-off hopes. The Bluebirds are now on 62 points, eight behind leaders Birmingham who have played a game less.

Joe O'Cearuill
Blackpool 0-0 Brighton and Hove Albion, March 10
Joe O'Cearuill played the final eight minutes as Brighton held Blackpool to a goalless draw at Bloomfield Road. Claus Jorgensen twice went close for the hosts while Jake Robinson squandered Albion's best chance. The point leaves the Seagulls nine points clear of the League One relegation zone with nine games remaining.
