On a good win…
I was really pleased. Obviously we’ve had a bit of a journey up here and for us to jump off the train and within 20 minutes we’re playing, it’s a credit to the lads’ spirit and their application. I was really pleased with the performance.

On the journey to the Hawthorns…
We left London Colney at about 3.20pm and we ended up getting to the ground at 7.20pm so it took us four hours.

On the players starting the game well…
[The delay in getting to the ground] did switch them on a little bit because they know they’ve got to switch on right from the word go. I think it focuses their mind really sharply. After not having a warm-up their preparation was disrupted so it makes them think about it a little bit more.

On what pleased him about the performance…
Their application in adverse weather conditions and again they’ve tried to play. I was really pleased with their team spirit tonight.

On a youthful-looking back four…
George Brislen-Hall was making his debut and he’s been doing very well for Steve Bould. When you do well you get your reward and he’s made his debut and played well tonight so I was pleased for him.

On Ignasi Miquel’s goal…
It was a great goal and he’s had a good year so I’m pleased for him.
