England Youth International forward Benik Afobe has extended his stay with League One side Huddersfield Town until January 8, 2011.
The 17 year-old has been in good form for the Terriers since joining the Yorkshire side in early November, with three goals in eight appearances in all competitions so far.
Before joining Lee Clark’s side, Benik had made an assured start to the 2010/11 campaign, establishing himself as a regular in the Reserves. Afobe was also an instrumental part of Steve Bould’s Premier Academy League-winning side last season, contributing 20 goals in 25 games, and netted a hat-trick in the play-off final against Nottingham Forest.
The Leyton-born youngster joined the Arsenal Academy aged just eight. He signed professional terms with the Club in February 2010.
In May this year Afobe enjoyed success with England, helping the Three Lions to victory in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
