Chuks Aneke's loan spell with Crewe Alexandra has been further extended, until January 21, subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

The 19-year-old midfielder has established himself as a regular in Steve Davis’ side since his arrival in September, showing his versatility with successful stints in behind the main strikers, and more recently in a deeper role in the centre of midfield.

In total, Aneke has featured 19 times so far for the Railwaymen, scoring four goals.

The Newham-born youngster made his first-team debut for Arsenal in the 3-1 League Cup victory over Shrewsbury Town in September 2011. He gained further senior experience with the Gunners over the summer during the pre-season tour of Asia, scoring the winner against a Malaysia XI in Kuala Lumpur.

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Chuks well for his continued stay at the Alexandra Stadium.
