At the beginning of the season, Sanchez Watt couldn't stop scoring for Arsenal's second string. The striker was on target in seven of his first eight matches - and other clubs soon took notice.

His form earned him a one-month loan spell at League One Sheffield Wednesday in December and he followed that with a switch to ambitious Crawley Town in League Two until the end of the campaign.

His time at the Broadfield Stadium started brightly as he played his part in the Red Devils' 1-0 FA Cup win over Hull, before notching a brace - his only two goals for the Sussex club - on his league debut against Cheltenham.

Crawley eventually won automatic promotion to League One, with the 21-year-old making 16 appearances.

Sanchez's early-season goals saw him earn a place in Arsenal's Carling Cup squads against Shrewsbury and Bolton, although he was not able to add to his three first-team appearances to date.

With loan spells at Southend, Leeds (twice), Sheffield Wednesday and Crawley now under his belt, the stage is now set for the pacy striker to take his next step. A new contract last summer was the incentive for more at Emirates Stadium - now it's up to Sanchez to make the most of it.

SOUNDBITE
"I just need to work hard 24/7 - even when I'm not playing football. It's not just about what happens on the pitch. I need to focus my lifestyle off the pitch too and it will pay for me when I'm out there.”

FINEST MOMENT
The highlight of Sanchez's spell with Crawley Town was a brace against fellow promotion hopefuls Cheltenham - a fine debut for the Arsenal youngster.
