It says a lot about Martin Angha that no player made more appearances for Arsenal's reserves last season.
The versatile defender registered 22 appearances for Neil Banfield's second string, adding to another seven in the Under-18s.
All of that at the age of just 18 has pointed Martin in the right direction for success. The centre back has featured regularly at international level too, stepping up to the mark in Switzerland's Under-19s set-up.
While Martin may be more comfortable at the heart of Arsenal's backline, he has also been employed at left back on numerous occasions - a position he has filled admirably.
The youngster is clearly held in high regard at London Colney and long may it continue.
“I don't think that as a young player you could get a better club than Arsenal. The boss gives young players a chance, maybe more if they need them, and then it is just up to you to take it. To be a proper footballer I think I am at the best club to develop.”
Throughout his developmental season, Martin has trained with Arsène Wenger's first team on numerous occasions. “For the first few times I was a bit nervous because it is just so different when you're training with all these world-class players,” he said . “But now I get used to it and they help me a lot in training, giving advice. It helps so much when you train with these top players - you can learn a lot off of them.”
