What Jernade Meade lacks in height, he certainly makes up for elsewhere. The diminutive left-sider has featured heavily at full back for the reserves this season, enjoying another encouraging campaign for the second string.

Jernade, who first played for the Club at the age of 11, has built on his steady stream of appearances for the reserves in the 2010/11 season with a full campaign this time around. Indeed, only Martin Angha and Oguzhan Ozyakup featured more times.

The 19-year-old proved himself to be one of last season's most consistent performers and a place on the bench in Arsenal's Carling Cup victory over Bolton was just reward for his efforts.

Next season a breakthrough into Arsenal's first team is the obvious target, having already had a taste of just what could be.

FINEST MOMENT
Although he did not make it on to the pitch, Jernade's place in the squad for the Carling Cup will have certainly given him even more of an incentive for next year.
