After a highly-promising campaign, Isaac Hayden will have his sights firmly set on breaking into the reserves next season.

After a solid campaign at the heart of defence, Isaac was rewarded with a professional contract on his 17th birthday. It is even more impressive when you consider that the versatile youngster has spent most of his early career as a holding midfielder.

The England youth international proved to be a key part of the Under-18s side which claimed third place in the Premier Academy League, captaining the team on several occasions.

Isaac will now be looking to go to the next level by breaking into the Club's second string, a target which could be fulfilled with another consistent series of displays at the back.

“I have mostly been a holding midfielder but Arsenal have played me at centre back. I enjoy both positions. I want to play in as many games as I can, so being able to play both roles may help me.”

Isaac could not have wished for a better birthday present than his professional deal in March. But holding the captain's armband in his first season at this level also demonstrates just how highly he is rated at London Colney.
