While Craig Eastmond was unable to build on his 10 Arsenal first-team appearances in 2010/11, the industrious young midfielder was able to showcase his talents during a successful loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers.
Although the Chairboys were relegated from League One, Craig impressed in his three-month spell at Adams Park and was an ever-present in Gary Waddock's first team after his arrival in February.
The early stages of the campaign proved testing as Craig recovered from a broken ankle suffered while on loan with Millwall last season. But he returned strongly in October with an encouraging run in the reserves to earn himself a move to the Football League.
FINEST MOMENT
Wycombe manager Waddock was full of praise for the midfielder's mature display against Stevenage in March, in which Craig won his side a last-minute penalty. “They were chipping away at him if I am being honest,” he said. “He showed that calmness and maturity, they chipped away at him in the 92nd minute and it resulted in a penalty.”
