on the performance…
The players' performances are what we always look at first but it is nice for them at this  stage of their development that they learn to win football matches. They get that enjoyment from it.

on being so dominant…
No, not really [I didn't expect it]. I thought we may have been set one or two more problems by Marseille but I think that is credit to our players. We kept the ball quite well in that first 15 to 20 minutes, moved them around the pitch a little bit and then got our opportunities to score goals.

on passing movement…
There were some really good situations we created, particularly in the first half. Credit to the players, you have to put up with whatever opposition is put in front of you, try to play well against them and win. I thought we met those demands.

on width provided by Martin Angha and Hector Bellerin
Both are very quick, pacy players and both like to run and get forward. Hector was unlucky on a couple of occasions and, over the games he has played so far, might have had himself a couple of goals from his attacking forays.

on Chuba Akpom…
I am pleased for him. At the weekend he did a lot of unselfish work without getting many rewards in and around the box, and this time he has got two goals. It is always important for strikers to feel as though their work is being rewarded.

on challenges…

I thought from a defensive point of view we might have encountered more problems than we were set, but again credit to our players, they worked really hard to win the ball back when we lost it and that was pleasing. So maybe it just stopped Marseille from getting into any rhythm. Who knows, if we hadn't have done that quite so well then maybe we would have had a few more problems.

on players' excitement…
I think they are very pleased. When you win matches it is a good feeling and I want them to keep that, and to know that if they work hard then they will get their rewards. That is what comes from winning matches, that joy. It is important they understand that.
