on the end to the game…
Yes [it was frustrating] given the way the goal came for them. I thought it was fortunate for them with two deflections and the way the ball ran into the lad's path, but he showed quite good composure and finished it well. But I was very pleased with our performance, I thought we played better tonight than we did against Everton. Of course we want to win games, but it is also about the performance and there were some excellent performances.

on the positives from the night…
You would struggle to find someone in the team who was below par. Hector Bellerin was excellent at right back, he defended well, got forward well and his use of the ball was good. He is showing improvements in his all-round performances. Kristoffer Olsson in midfield was outstanding again, Conor Henderson had a good game, Sanchez Watt in the first half was always a threat and we could have scored in the early minutes off his break. So lots of positives for us.

on Bellerin's response…
He was disappointed with [getting sent off against Olympiacos] obviously, but he is a good young player with a  lot of potential and promise. He is a good professional as well, he works hard at his game.

on facing West Ham on Friday…
We will look to give one or two of the other players games in that match. That is why I tried to keep players on for 90 minutes here and give them their match practice, then one or two others will get their chance on Friday.

on his overall assessment…

I am pleased. Obviously you are always disappointed when you lose goals but the performance was decent.
