on the result…
It was a good result but I think as far as the performance went, the first half wasn't too bad. We were playing a little bit then. But the second half wasn't great.

on controlling the game…
We had a lot of the ball but in the second half they could have easily taken a couple of their chances. I think there were quite a few melees inside the box from corners where we didn't defend great. We could have had a major problem then because we just didn't control the ball in the second half.

on the Ipswich equaliser…
I did think it was going to be one of those days at one stage, yes. I think the result has probably overshadowed the performance, we didn't play great today.

on being back to winning ways…
Of course, we are in a winning profession. We all know that and we all understand it. I have always spoken about it, that at this level we need the players to show the performances to go with it.

on recent defensive record…
To be fair I thought Zac Fagan played very well, he won a lot of headers and he is starting to be a little bit more aggressive these days. The defending hasn't been too bad but the team shape from the front probably hasn't been too great at times. That's something we're working on.

on younger players stepping into the reserves…

Yes of course, it's nice. I know the reserves had a very good performance the other night at Swansea where one or two of the kids were involved. It gets a little bit tough for some of them, travelling all the time, sitting on the bench there and then coming back to play Under-18s football. It's quite difficult but as long as we are pushing players on, that's the main thing we are trying to do.
