On the 2-0 defeat...
"I am really disappointed. I said to the lads before the game 'just do your jobs and if everybody does their job properly you should win the game'. I think in some areas we didn't do our jobs tonight. We gifted them the first goal then got caught with the sucker punch. If you are at the back you have to be concentrating all the time and to be fair I don't think we had a shot for about an hour. We had a lot of possession but didn't really create many chances, so we are really disappointed."

On the chances created in the final half an hour...
"I was pleased with it to a certain extent but I'd like to see what percentage of possession we had. We need to turn that into chances in the first half and it is no good chasing the game at 2-0 down, you have to do your job defensively and create chances when you have good possession and tonight I didn't think we did that."

On whether his side deserved anything from the game...
"No, we didn't deserve anything."

On West Ham...
"I thought West Ham did really well. They set their stall out and defended well. They had a good shape to their team and got a goal, defended resolutely and then got another goal. That's top football. Teams will come and be tactically different and we have to find a way to break them down. Today we failed that test."

On whether the Reserve League title is beyond Arsenal...
"No, it isn't. We will keep going. I think it will be hard but we will keep going. We have another game next week and hopefully we can put right the performances from tonight."

On the importance of next week's Birmingham game...
"Of course it is in the League aspect of things. But overall we want to see a game where we create more goalscoring opportunities for the amount of possession we have. We will work on that over the next few days."

On whether the players have been distracted by title talk...
"No, not at all. They just want to do well in the Reserves - play well and show the manager what they can do and see where it takes them."
