On the performance...
I’ve got say, all round, I was really pleased and especially with our possession in the first half. In the second half they gave us a problem, tactically, because they held their line and counter-attacked. We got a little bit bogged down but that’s all things to learn from.

On seeing a lot of the ball...
I thought we dominated possession, created a few chances and I was really pleased with the all-round performance. I was a little bit disappointed in the second half, I didn’t think we worked it out quickly enough. But they are young players and they will learn from it. If we come up against it again we should have the answers and find the solution to the problems that teams are giving us.

On an important victory against a good team...
To beat Liverpool with a very young side is testament to what is going on at the Club at the moment. I’m really pleased for the boys.

On his thoughts after conceding an 89th-minute equaliser...
It’s football. Like last week, we’ve got a goal against us in the last minute. But we’ve showed good character, we talked about winning during the week and we’ve scored from a corner [at the end]. That’s football, you can’t get your head down and you play to the final whistle. That’s what we’ve done tonight, we’ve played right to the end and we’ve got the winner right at the death.

On the Reserve League South title race...
To be a top player, you have to be a winner. In the last five or six games, we’ve played some good football in patches but we haven’t won. If you want to reach the top, you have got to win. They are chuffed in there, and to win and to beat Liverpool is a good tonic from last week and good for the team to move on in the next few games. We have given them a little challenge to get as many wins as they can over the next four games, and they have started really well tonight.
