on the result...
I thought it was a really good game. I know it’s a bit of a cliché that you have to take your chances, but when you look at it they [scored from] a corner, a counter-attack and a really good free kick. They took their opportunities and we created a few but didn’t take them. As a game from box to box I was quite pleased.

You get what you deserve, and they scored four and we didn’t. It’s a matter of us keeping playing as we are and maybe be a bit tighter on certain things and take the opportunities when they come along.

on missing opportunities...
I don’t like to put the blame on anyone. The good thing is we are making chances, against a good side playing good football, and on another day we’ll take them.

on a strong match-up...
Chelsea are a forward-thinking club, like us, and we’re trying to produce our own players. I thought it was a good game all-round.

on the watching Arsène Wenger...
The boss watches our games when he can, and while he’s obviously disappointed with the result, overall the way we try to play is a credit to the lads.

on heading into the New Year with a defeat...
It’s always a bit sore to go into the Christmas break on a loss, and we haven’t got a game for a few weeks. It would have been nice to send them off with a win, but it wasn’t to be. We have had a few words in the changing room and we will come back refreshed for the run-in to the season.
