Arsène Wenger was flattered by the comments Olympiacos manager Zico made to him on Tuesday night.
The managers came head-to-head in a Champions League clash at Emirates Stadium in midweek and the Gunners boss came out on top as his side beat Zico’s 2-0.
The former Brazil international was a player at Japanese outfit Kashima when Wenger was manager at Nagoya, and the pair have known each other ever since.
So when the Arsenal manager received praise from one of the game's biggest names, he was unsurprisingly delighted.
"I have known Zico since I was in Japan,” said Wenger.
“He told me we have a fantastic team. From people like him you enjoy the compliment because he was one of the greatest players ever."
