Nico Yennaris has joined League One side Notts County on loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old England youth international has enjoyed a fruitful 2011/12 season with a series of fine performances for Arsenal’s first team.

Having made his senior debut against Bolton in the Carling Cup back in October, Yennaris featured against Leeds United and Manchester United in the FA Cup and Premier League respectively, his substitute showing against the champions earning him particular praise from Arsène Wenger.

A versatile player, comfortable across the back and in midfield, Yennaris has also been a regular for the reserves this season with 17 appearances to his name since August.

The Leytonstone-born youngster joins up with the East Midlands outfit for the remainder of the season, hoping to gain additional first-team experience with Keith Curle's side as they bid for promotion to the Championship.

Everyone at Arsenal wishes Nico well for his time at Meadow Lane.
