Wojciech Szczesny joins Brentford on loan
Arsenal can confirm that young goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has joined League One side Brentford Football Club on loan for one month.
The 19 year-old ‘keeper who joined Arsenal as a scholar in 2006, made his first team debut with the Gunners against West Bromwich Albion in the Carling Cup earlier this season, in which he kept a clean sheet and has been named on the bench for Premier League and UEFA Champions League fixtures whilst appearing in three Reserve fixtures and keeping two clean sheets.
The talented young goalkeeper recently made his senior international debut in the second half of Poland’s 1-0 win over Canada this week.
Wojciech will immediately join up with Brentford and will stay on loan with Andy Scott’s side for a one month period until 20 December 2009.
