Barry McDonald from Mottingham, south-east London, presented Jack Wilshere with Arsenal’s Disabled Supporters Player of the Season 2010/11 Award at the Gunners’ match against Sunderland on Sunday, October 16.
The Arsenal midfielder topped the poll with Robin van Persie finishing close runner-up.
Barry, 26, has been an Arsenal supporter since he was four years old and was drawn out of the hat from the many disabled supporters who voted for their Player of the Season.
Barry has been watching Arsenal with his father since their time together at Highbury, taking his seat in the disabled enclosure next to the away dugout at the Gunners’ former home.
Barry, who is now a season ticket holder at Emirates Stadium, never misses an Arsenal game and was delighted to present Jack Wilshere with the award. “It’s an honour to present Jack Wilshere with the Disabled Supporters’ Player of the Season trophy – he really deserves it. We wish him a speedy recovery.”Copyright 2015 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
