Jack Wilshere has credited Arsène Wenger with helping him get through a whirlwind year.
The midfielder burst onto the scene at last summer's Emirates Cup with man-of-the-match displays against Atletico Madrid and Rangers. He made a further seven first-team appearances for Arsenal before joining Bolton Wanderers on loan in January.
Speaking exclusively to Arsenal.com in Austria, Wilshere explained that he is now accustomed to being a household name after a whirlwind 12 months.
"Yes, I think I have got used to it," he said. "The boss helped me a lot.
"Obviously I was frustrated not to play but it is probably the right thing, and then letting me go out on loan to get some experience. So I think I have handled it quite well, yes."
Wilshere started 13 times on loan at Bolton and believes playing Premier League football week in week out has helped improve his game.
"I think things come more naturally," he said. "Obviously you are fitter because you've got match fitness. Things just come more naturally to you."
