Arsène Wenger has explained why Arsenal remains the Club for him.

The Frenchman’s future has been the subject of speculation this week with reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid. Wenger dismissed those rumours at his pre-match press conference, insisting he was as committed to Arsenal as ever.

The 59-year-old has been with the Club for 13 years and admits he has found the perfect match. Wenger has transformed Arsenal’s fortunes but the relationship is certainly not one-way; the Frenchman could not wish for a better working environment.

“What is so special about Arsenal? The fact that I have been reasonably successful and I always have the support of the board and can work like I wanted,” said Wenger.

“It's not everywhere you get that. It is also the most passionate country about the game. The game in England has always moved forwards and upwards.”
