Faye White has hailed the Super League as "massive" for the women's game in England.

Arsenal kick off the defence of their WSL title at home to Everton on Sunday in what will be the second year of the competition.

Gunners captain White is raring to go and believes the WSL has proved itself to be a major success.

"It is massive that the season has been moved to the summer - it creates a different atmosphere around matches," she told Arsenal Player.

"Also, in terms of competitiveness, it has become harder. The games have been better, there has been more coverage on TV and in the media, which really helps as more people find out about it.

"More young girls can watch it and they want to emulate their role models."
