David Hillier emerged through the youth ranks at Arsenal and captained the Club to Youth Cup glory in 1988 before winning a much bigger prize in 1991 - the League title.

Hillier was part of the George Graham squad which lost just once en route to their championship triumph and he became a regular fixture in the side for the next two campaigns.

A diligent central midfielder, Hillier was nonetheless hampered by injuries and missed three Cup Finals in 1993 and 1994 as a result. Hillier left Arsenal in 1996 and went on to play for Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers and Barnet.
