Arsène Wenger says that all of Arsenal's goalkeepers have their best years ahead of them.

The Frenchman has three frontline keepers at Emirates Stadium with Wojciech Szczesny (22), Vito Mannone (24) and Lukasz Fabianski (27) vying for the No 1 spot.

Mannone will get another chance to stake his claim on Tuesday night with both Poles ruled out of Arsenal's Champions League opener through injury. And Wenger has faith in the Italian.

"I like him as a goalkeeper because he is a football man and he understands the game," said the manager. "He was away on loan last year and did very well. He matured a lot.

"The job of a goalkeeper is from 27 to 37 so all our goalkeepers are still very young, and it can happen that they sometimes have a bad game."
