Arsène Wenger believes Arsenal have drawn so few games in the league this season because their predicament meant winning was the only option.

Wenger’s side have produced just four stalemates in the Premier League this term, a figure matched only by league leaders Manchester United.

“Maybe we were always in a position from the start onwards where a draw was a bad result because we were very deep in the table,” he told Arsenal Player.

“From there on we were only in a position where winning was good enough for us and that might be a subconscious explanation.”
